 Women empowerment

“WOMEN EMPOWERMENT This terminology consist of Women and Empowerment. Empowerment refers to the ability of a person to awaken all the decisions related to his or her life himself. In Women Empowerment we are talking about the same capacity where women are free from all the bonds of family and society. They are the creators of

their decision. Famous sentence said by Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru ,”To awaken the people, it is very

important for women to be awake. Once a woman takes her step, the family moves forward, the village moves forward and the nation is oriented towards development. To empower women in India, first of all, it is very important to kill all those demons that kill the rights and values in the society like dowry system illiteracy, sexual violence and inequality, feticide, domestic violence against women, rape, prostitution, human trafficking etc. Gender discrimination brings cultural, socioeconomic and educational differences in the country which push the country backwards Empowering women is the most successful successful way to ensure the right to equality enshrined in the Constitution in India. In this way, women empowerment is strengthened in India by prioritizing gender equality to eradicate evils. To achieve the higher goal of women empowerment it should be promoted and disseminated in every single family from childhood. It is important that women are strong physically, mentally and socially. Because a better education can start at home from childhood.A healthy family is needed for the upliftment of women which is

essential for the all round development of the nation. Even today, in many backward areas, due to illiteracy of parents, insecurity and poverty, there is a practice of marriage and child birth at an early age, to strengthen women, to prevent abuse, leggings, discrimination, social discrimination and violence etc. to

strengthen women. Government is taking many steps for it. For a proper solution to the problems of women, it is very important to pass the Women’s Reservation Bill 108th Constitutional Amendment, if it ensures 33% share of women in the Parliament, then in that area also some percentage of seats are reserved for women to participate actively is done.

For the real development of women, the government will have to go to the marginalized rural areas and the women there will have to be made aware of the facilities and their rights provided by the government so that their future can be better. To make the dream of women empowerment come true, the importance of girls and their education has to be publicised. To bring true women empowerment in the Indian society, the main reasons for all the practices against women have to be understood and removed. It is necessary that we change the old thinking against women and also bring changes in the constitutional and legal provisions. We need to understand this work of women empowerment because through it gender equality and economic progress can be achieved in the country.
